I found this tag on my gas meter, read it, and turned the valve slowly. I hope I did it correctly.
The reason I was doing it (instead of a Qualified Individual) was because the person who was supposed to do it didn’t turn it all the way—only some of the way. We were having gas troubles, and although I’m not licensed to turn valves (that was an extra $500 and two months training on top of the computer science degree I’m now wishing I would have splurged for), I thought maybe, just maybe, I could do this.
I love living in a CYA society.
