Cocolito's Fine Mexican DiningTue, 19 Dec 2006800 N 800 E Orem, UT I ordered the Chili verde burrito for lunch (at $7.82 before tip, this was the most expensive item on the lunch specials menu). Service: My order was in front of me in about 3 minutes. The service was prompt and courteous, and the site was clean and quiet (though I admit I went at about 1:30p--a bit late for lunch). My waitress was attentive but not overbearing. Food: The food was as good as I've had anywhere else in the valley of this kind (authentic-style mexican food). Tasty and plentiful. Acoustics: The site was formerly Durangos--a self-serve type place after the pattern of Cafe Rio, but the new owners have made it much more elegant and have found some ways to remove the cavernous feeling by adding a few walls and smaller dining areas, though some high echo is still present. Atmosphere: Beautiful painting, lots of live green plants, assorted curios and Mexican knick-knacks, as well as high-contrast colorful wall-paint make this a good place. Only the large windows along the front of the restaurant don't allow you to actually leave Orem (that would be a good improvement to block off some of those windows). Score: 8 (of 10) |
