Hiking to Pika Cirque on Mount Timpanogos

My wife and I on a whim decided to try hiking Mount Timpanogos. It's a good stiff climb which I've done thrice before, but it's been about 10 years since the last time I was up. We drove to Timponeke Campground where one of the trailheads is and we began to hike. Without a map, nor even consulting one before we left.

Duran-Duran in Concert: 1984

Our mouths hung low and stiff. Blood and jealousy coursed through our ears. Some girls giggled with an unbridled giddiness. My 12 year-old peers Evan, Jon, Nick, and Jim were lip-syncing to Duran Duran.

How could Mrs. Winn remain so passionless in the face of such obvious talent? She just stood by, looking around, as if waiting for it to finish.
