Having been a fan of The Count of Monte Cristo for many years, I thought I'd try some of the other Dumas books. The first two of these listed below were the best, imo. The drama in the latter books was just a bit too coerced for my liking.

• The Three Musketeers
• Twenty Years After
• The Vicomte de Bragelonne
• Louise de la Vallière
• The Man in the Iron Mask

Still one of my all-time favorite books:
